Vocabulary

Depth of Field (shallow and wide)- what's in focus, shallow or wide, when it's shallow only a little bit is in focus, when it's wide there's a lot of stuff in focus.

Light (angle and intensity)- angle is about where the light is coming from, intensity is how bright the light is.

Shadows- the absence of light

Diffusion- take an intense light an decrease the soft of the light.

Exposure- what your picture actually looks like, too light, too dark, or in between.

Aperture (f-stop)- inside the lens, how big the opening is.

Shutter speed- it has to do with the mirror inside of the camera, and how fast the mirror opens and closes, how fast the photo is taken.

ISO- sensor inside the camera, how sensitive the sensor is to light. As you increase the ISO you increase the amount of grain that you'll see on your picture.

Types of lenses
 
Telephoto- Zooms in closer to the subject

Prime- does not zooms at all, a fixed length, bigger aperture setting.

Wide Angle- more in a photo, usually for landscapes.

 This one was my favorite because I liked how the two lights are reflecting onto the President and his wife, you can also see the American flag which I thought it was cool. 

 This picture was my most favorite, because the colors of the fireworks look cool and the picture itself looks amazing, and caught my attention, they don't even look like fireworks it looks 3D which makes this picture my favorite.

Also, this picture was my favorite because the rainbow and the wave look awesome, the sky makes the picture look cooler and with the surfer riding the wave makes it look cool. I just really like how the color and sharpness of this picture looked.

1. The best song of 2012 that I thought was Titanium- David Guetta ft. Sia, personally I really like this song, when my phone shuffles to that song I leave it cause I really like it, just the beat gets me pumped up that's probably why it was the number one song of 2012.

2. The best movie of 2012 in my opinion is 21 Jump Street, because this movie made me laugh so much, it has comedy, it had high school and Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill came out which made the movie even funnier because they are both opposite from each other and made it into a buddy comedy. I could watch this movie over and over and not get tired of it.

3. The most important news story of 2012 for me is the election, of course because it lasted almost the whole year. Everyone wouldn't stop talking about it, like on who they would vote for either Mitt Romney or Barack Obama. This year I was so into it cause now that I'm older I understand elections more and made me realize how important it was and how affected people around the country. But of course, in November, Obama won. It was crazy because on election day Romney was winning and then Obama was winning then back and forth until Obama won.

All I heard this 2012 was Rihanna, Rihanna, Rihanna, Rihanna this Rihanna that. I think she influenced a lot of people because well of course we know her through her music and Chris Brown. She had a lot of rise into her music by putting out her music for 2012. It's no surprise that she influenced alot of the young people.

1. One thing that happened to me in the holiday was that I went to Mexico for a week and a half I took several buses just to get there but overall I spent my New Year's over there which was fun. (:

2. My resolutions for this year is to get better grades and graduate and be able to walk the stage with my family watching me and cheering me on.

3. This year I'm looking forward is graduating and getting my license to drive.
